Develop new chip product functionality, communications protocols, and sensing algorithms. Identify firmware problems during quality investigation and recovery efforts. Work closely with other functional teams during product development and QA investigation efforts. Develop firmware using assembly language and higher level language for products. Required Qualifications Bachelor or Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. 5+ years of embedded, real-time firmware development experience Extensive C and assembly programming experience on small 8/16 bit micro controllers (PIC, AVR, PSOC, MSP430, 8051, HC08, HC12, Z8 etc) I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-485 or other inter-processor communications. Familiar with analog and digital systems, ADCs, DACs, sensors. Familiar with common test equipment (DVM, oscilloscope, frequency generator). Minimum of 10 years experience in real-time embedded software development. Minimum of 10 years of code development using assembly language and a higher level language like C/C++.
